Our Director.
Dr Erin O'Dwyer
Erin is the director and founder of Good Prose Studios.
She specialises in narrative strategy – working with experts, founders, leaders and creative thinkers to sharpen their ideas, shape their stories and expand their impact. Her focus is simple: clear, practical storytelling principles that anyone can use to communicate with confidence and influence.
An award-winning journalist, writer and editor, Erin’s work spans print, digital, broadcast and publishing. Her stories have appeared in The Sydney Morning Herald, Good Weekend, The Saturday Paper, The Guardian, Australian Geographic and Vogue. She has produced podcasts and audio for ABC Classic and ABC Radio National, and is the winner of an Australian UN Media Peace Award, a two-time finalist, and a Walkley Awards finalist.
As a ghostwriter, she is co-author of Accessory with Felicia Djamirze (Affirm Press, 2025) and Swellbeing with Blake Johnston (Hachette, 2025).
Erin has spent two decades lecturing at the University of Sydney, where she has mentored the next generation of storytellers. She holds a PhD (UTS) and a BA/LLB (Hons), is a qualified lawyer, and has held executive and board roles in the media and not-for-profit sectors.
She lives on the NSW South Coast with her twin sons.

Ina is a communications professional with broad experience in public relations, publishing, journalism, politics and stakeholder engagement. She holds a Master’s in Strategic Public Relations and a Graduate Diploma in International Security from the University of Sydney, and completed a BA in American Studies at Radboud University in the Netherlands, with additional study in the US.
Originally from Germany, Ina has made Australia home. She brings curiosity, adaptability and a problem-solving mindset to every project, and thrives on learning new skills and connecting with others through their stories and experiences.

Teresa began her career in London as a researcher at HarperCollins Illustrated and picture editor at Murdoch Books. She holds a BA in English and Comparative Literature from Murdoch University, an Honours Degree from Cambridge (on Shakespeare in film), and a second Honours and PhD from Murdoch, where she explored cultural translation and intergenerational trauma in Japanese diasporic literature. Having lived in Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong, England and Australia, and with Japanese heritage, Teresa is drawn to stories that reflect cultural diversity and complexity.
She has taught at Western Sydney University and UNSW, and now works as a freelance editor and proofreader across a broad range of fiction and non-fiction. Teresa has helped business leaders write industry books, supported lawyers and judges in crafting legal texts, and worked with academics on journal articles, translations and dissertations. She is passionate about guiding authors through the intellectually demanding and emotionally charged journey of writing.

Georgia O’Neill is a specialist legal and academic editor with more than 25 years’ experience editing Australian legal and scholarly content. She works across a wide range of material – including legal texts for practitioners and students, journal articles, CPD resources, contracts, submissions and client documents. For academic clients, she offers expert editing of theses, journal articles and conference papers across disciplines such as law, science, the arts, environment and technology.
Known for her precision, reliability and collaborative approach, Georgia delivers high-quality work on time and within budget. Her editing style is grounded in clear communication, cooperation and compassion, helping to build strong, respectful relationships with her clients. Above all, she ensures every document is clear, correct, concise and error-free.

Natalie Hambly is a passionate storyteller who has dedicated her career in the journalism and media sector to helping women tell their stories.
In her most recent role as a managing editor and executive producer at SBS, Natalie developed and managed a short-form documentary series, multiple podcasts, a thriving website devoted to memoir storytelling, and a national writing competition aimed at emerging writers from diverse and marginalised backgrounds. Also at SBS, Natalie appeared on the popular ‘Eyes on Gilead’ podcast, delivering enthusiastic and insightful analysis of The Handmaid’s Tale TV series. Over the years the podcast built a global audience, topping charts in the US, UK, Italy, Saudi Arabia, India, Sweden and Norway.
Prior to that, during her 10 years at The Sydney Morning Herald as a digital news editor, Natalie developed her nose for a story, finding the angle and the ‘juice’ that would make audiences sit up and take notice.
Natalie is Good Prose Studios’ resident writing coach. She is also an ambassador for the University of Technology, Sydney.

Nigel Bowen specialises in crafting the type of premium content that drives business outcomes. A former journalist turned content marketing strategist, he helps C-suite executives, entrepreneurs, and global brands build credibility and generate new business through the power of storytelling.
With more than two decades of experience, Nigel brings a rare combination of journalistic rigour and commercial savvy to every project. He’s written for The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, The Guardian, GQ and CHOICE, as well as the ABC and BBC. He now partners with start-ups, blue-chip companies and professional services firms to create content that converts cold leads into warm ones.

Sharon is Good Prose Studios’ resident multi-media specialist. She is an international student at the University of Sydney, originally from Indonesia. Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia, Mandarin, French and English, she is passionate about exploring cultures, languages and storytelling across writing, video, social media and audio. With a background in Cambridge A Level Media Studies and non-profit projects, she has developed a strong portfolio in writing, photography, videography and social media.
Sharon is an active member of Sydney Uni’s newsroom, publishing for Salience and The Junction. Her recent achievements include a High Commendation in the 2023 Ossie Awards and the exclusive airing of her debut podcast Sirius and the Moon on FBI Radio.
