Rachel Spencer
Academic Editor and PhD Coach
About Rachel.
Dr Rachel Spencer
Rachel has writing expertise in a rare combination of law and creative non-fiction. She has taught legal writing for over two decades and is skilled in using literary and narrative techniques to produce high quality letters, reports, academic writing, legal documents, policy documents and presentations. Her core focus is clarity. Rachel is keen to mentor emerging scholars and writers.
Having held many board roles in not-for-profit and arts organisations and after a long career in law, Rachel now focuses on writing and editing. Her extensive legal background has equipped her with exceptional attention to detail, and an understanding of deadlines and working in a fast-paced environment. Rachel brings an understanding of ‘audience’ to every job she undertakes.
Rachel divides her time between Adelaide and South Australia’s mid-north and as often as she can, the Sunshine Coast. In her spare time she enjoys walking, reading and collaging her vast collection of memorabilia.
