Good Prose Studios

Our Story

Storytelling is at the Heart of
Everything We Do.

Good Prose Studios was founded by award-winning journalist Erin O’Dwyer in 2023, when she saw that demand for true storytelling craft had never been greater. No longer just from media and publishing houses but from leaders, founders, experts and creative thinkers who wanted to sharpen their ideas and build their impact.

Good Prose Studios works with authors, academics, business leaders and brands who want to tell better stories. Our focus is clear: simple, practical cross-platform storytelling principles that anyone can use to communicate more effectively.

At Good Prose Studios, we look forward to working with you - to craft good prose and tell great stories.

The name Good Prose Studios was inspired by Good Prose: The Art of Non-Fiction by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Tracy Kidder and his long-time editor Richard Todd of The Atlantic. In the book, Kidder and Todd share craft secrets and chart the relationship between writer and editor – a story of collaboration and friendship. We love their observation that “Writing is revision. All prose responds to work”. And the wry humour of Todd’s standard feedback: “It’s fine. Keep going.”

At Good Prose Studios, that same care, trust and good humour are at the heart of everything we do. We help authors, leaders, founders and for-purpose organisations sharpen ideas, shape messages and reach the right audience – no matter the medium, platform or channel.

To meet our clients’ diverse needs, we bring together experienced writers, editors, content creators and media strategists. We also draw on a trusted network of social media, digital marketing and public relations professionals to make sure every story lands where it should.

Like Kidder and Todd, we value the trust and respect that grow between client and consultant – and we’re proud to say many of our clients become friends.
